The \u201cYverdon \u2013 Sainte-Croix Historic Train\u201d cooperative<\/h3>\n

The Ge 4\/4 21<\/span> <\/span>is an <\/span>exceptional locomotive, designed and built by the Yverdon-Ste-Croix company (now TRAVYS SA) in its workshops <\/span>in Yverdon-les-Bains in 1950.<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n

This machine was <\/span>designed specifically for this railway line with its unique route, connecting Yverdon–<\/b>les-Bains<\/span> <\/span>to Sainte-Croix.<\/p>\n

To relieve TRAVYS SA, the Crocodile 21 Association has offered to develop a preservation plan, if possible keeping the Ge 4\/4 21 locomotive operational, while taking into account the constraints related to the operation of the line.<\/p>\n

It has initiated the first discussions with TRAVYS SA since 2022.<\/p>\n

The Ge 4\/4 21 locomotive is a unique and exceptional machine. It has been running for 75 years (1950\u20132025) on the TRAVYS network, between Yverdon and Sainte-Croix.<\/p>\n

This vehicle was built entirely by the Yverdon\u2013Sainte-Croix railway company (now TRAVYS SA). It is equipped with an electric regenerative brake and a Charmilles Westinghouse pneumatic brake.<\/p>\n
